About Hamid Nabavi
Hamid Nabavi is the founder and Principal of Optimized Communications, and a Board member of the Society of Telecommunication Consultants. He has over 20 years of experience, including accomplishments in the telecommunication industry, in the computer industry, and in academia. Education and Industry BackgroundHamid has a BS degree in Mathematical Engineering, an MS degree in Computer Science and Computer Engineering as well as an Engineer's degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, and an MBA degree from the University of Southern California. He managed telecommunication hardware and software developments for National Semiconductor and Xerox in the 1980s, and was in charge of marketing data communication products for Standard Microsystems, Rockwell Semiconductor Systems, and Conexant in the 1990s and the early 2000s. Telecom ConsultingHamid Nabavi began work in telecommunication consulting in 2003 in association with Schooley Mitchell Telecom Consultants. He founded Optimized Communications in May of 2004, and since then has continued to grow its telecom consulting operations by serving small and medium-sized businesses and non-profit organizations in Southern California. Teaching and MembershipsAs an adjunct faculty member of Argosy University, Hamid teaches information and technology management for students in the MBA program. He is an active participant in community, business, and academic organizations including the Orange County Stanford Association, the Orange County Strategic Business Group, the Sharif University of Technology Association, and the Institute for Communication Technology Management at the USC Marshall School of Business.
